Providing Rigorous Curriculum to Every Student in Preparation for College, Career, and
Community Commitments while Fostering Character Development and Critical Thinking.
DELPHOS JEFFERSON CORE VALUES
We set high expectations for our students, staff, faculty, and administration. These values are embedded in our ABOVE THE LINE (ATL) expectations.
These ATL expectations are to BE POSITIVE, BE ACCOUNTABLE, and BE RESPECTFUL. Students, staff, and administration are expected to model ATL student behavioral expectations. The expectations are broad enough to break down into specific behavioral expectations across school settings. Click the links to see the expectations for different school settings HALLWAY, CAFETERIA, OFFICE, RESTROOMS, and ATHLETIC EVENTS.
In order to promote ATL, it is important to acknowledge ATL in action to promote the positive interactions in our school and community. Through the ATL Acknowledgment System we, as a school, can acknowledge students, peers, and community members with (1) a positive interim or quarter parental call, (2) a Friday ATL morning shout out, (3) an ATL Card, or (4) a classroom ATL Trait Ticket.
- A positive interim or quarter parental call. Teachers will make and document four (4) positive parental calls each interim and quarter about students.
- Friday ATL morning shout out. Teachers or students can nominate a shout out by emailing the principal how a student or teacher demonstrated an ATL characteristic.
-
ATL Recognition Card. The card is for recognition of teachers, students, staff, or community members that demonstrate ATL expectations or ATL ‘cultural beliefs’.
** Click on the ATL Card to learn how YOU can acknowledge a student, teacher, or community member!
-
ATL Trait Ticket. Teacher identifies a specific classroom or hallway behavior that the student engaged in and links it to the appropriate ATL school trait.
We have exciting and innovative plans to promote our partnership among faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members. Check us out on our FACEBOOK @ www.facebook.com/delphoscityschools
